Event Participation

 

In order for us to keep our tuition down, we participate in 3 events per year to offset the cost of our bills. All funds raised go directly into the halau fund and there is no refund or individual credit. 

It is our goal to live the Hawaiian values of laulima, to work together. Whatever event that the halau is planning to participate in, we will work together.

 Participation in the 3 events listed below are MANDATORY AND NOT OPTIONAL (unless you choose to do the buyout):

 

  1. Aloha Expo – Work a shift
  2. Ho’olaule’a – Work a shift and food donation
  3. Ho’ike – Sell tickets and raffle tickets

Hahai no ka ua i ka ulula'au.

Translation:The rain follows after the forest.

Explanation:Destroy the forest, the rains will cease to fall, and the land will become a desert. If only our scientists knew this when the ancient Hawaiians did.

Hula Halau o Lilinoe, new home on the internet
In the advent of internet technology and advancing media, Hula Halau 'O Lilinoe a me Na Pua Me Kealoha, has made it's footprint amongst other halau already staking their claim on the World Wide Web.  Currently still under development, the site administrator and other contributors are in a long endeavor to bring this halau's events, performances, and site content to an already eager audience and students. 

The site will host a myriad of contents, such as: Literature, audio, class schedules, even schedules, a gallery and much more.
